The Magnus Archives is currently second only to Good Omens in my heart. A fic with my OTP that directly addresses the cannon asexuality(!) of the main character? While presenting a great AU Version of the other half that is still very in character? I just had to share it with you!

I think all you need to know is that all three characters in this story are more than human as avatars of different fears. Peter is the avatar of the Lonely, fear of being left behind, isolated, etc. Jon is the avatar of Beholding, the fear of being watched. In this AU Martin is the avatar of Desolation, aka The Lightless Flame, basically fire and destruction without creation or befit. Important side effect Martin burns what he touches. Also, Jon is the canon asexual character but he doesn't talk about it, in the episode we only found out because his ex Georgie mentioned it to a mutual friend/coworker, so it makes sense he (or is at least in character) that he hasn't told Martin.

I haven't watched B99 but I really liked this, from the different approaches to reading, the slowly forming friendship and the charter, this just made me smile.

Such a lovely fic! I've got virtually no canon knowledge, which didn't impact my enjoyment in the slightest. From what I remember of the books (and it's been years), the voice is very accurate, and it's certainly very distinctive and enjoyable to read!

So while this is technically part of a massive fic universe, I think it can be read without having read any of the other fics. Most of the chapters are OC POV, but they're written such that you totally can read them and enjoy them without having had the introduction to those OCs. The premise you need to know is: after TWS, Bucky turns up on Steve's doorstep one day. This is what people at Stark Industries are doing to make sure they are as prepared for potential fallout as possible.
