Lets open with a nice Steve/Tony(kinda)fic, I like how this fic treats AI!Tony as a real person even if not everyone sees him that way. Its interesting how Steve does and doesn't see him as the same person as human!Tony, treating the memories he was created with as no less his than human!Tony's memories.

Yes I am still on my Rusty Quill Gaming kick. While very in character, this AU is far enough removed from show that you should be able to enjoy this without any prior knowledge. Plus I always find it a major point in favor of this kind of AU if I end up wanting to read more about their papers.

I lost my whole week to rereading "Play Crack the Sky" and then all the other related fics in the AU, which weren't complete the last time I read it. Honestly, the first time I read "Play Crack," I was scared to read the prequel, because 1) high school AUs aren't usually my jam, and 2) we already know there's a lot of angst coming based on the flashback scenes in the first fic, BUT this time I was on a roll and couldn't leave that world yet, so I dove in, and it was just so good? The depth of the worldbuilding, the actually realistic high school interactions, the incredible slow-burn nature of it all... beautiful. I couldn't stop reading.

This has got to be the only fandom I actively look forward to kid!OCs. I really love how the series showed this side of Crowley and the fandom has expanded on it really well.

I also really liked the bodyswap but more out of respect for the acting chops that kind of thing takes than for the actual change to the plot

yeah Good Omens has great kid!OCs, I think partially because the book has some solid kids in it so people have something to build off other than like, domestic fantasy fluff?

That makes a lot of sense, with the Them around people are more likely to remember to make the kids they add round characters as opposed to a toy they turn on and off when they want a hallmark moment.
